Garlic bread is so easy yet so delicious. There are so many ways to enjoy your garlic bread – dip it into your cream-based soup, serve it as a side to your main, or simply have it on its own like a snack! Good garlic bread simply needs to be crispy and fragrant, and this recipe teaches you exactly how you can achieve it. You can use any kind of bread you like – soft white bread or baguettes are fine as long as you like it.
Ingredients (serves 2)
– 2 slices of bread
– 30 grams of butter, softened at room temperature
– 4 cloves of garlic (or more if you are a garlic lover!)
– a sprinkle of salt (if using unsalted butter)
– a pinch of dried parsley flakes
– grated cheese (optional)
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the garlic.
Step 2
Combine the softened butter, garlic and salt in a bowl. Mix until even and spread the mixture on the bread.
Step 3
Put your garlic bread into the oven and toast for about 10 minutes. If you are in the mood for something fancier, toast for 5 minutes and add some cheese on top before popping it back into the oven for another few minutes until the cheese has melted or becomes slightly golden brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle some dried parsley over the garlic bread.
Step 4
Let the garlic bread cool down slightly before slicing them into smaller bite-sized pieces for easy snacking. If you are having it with cheese, serve while it’s hot. Enjoy!
